After spending the last few days browsing AutoHunter, the online auction site driven by ClassicCars.com, it’s my turn to pick the classic and collector cars that have really caught my eye.

There are several cars that piqued my interest, but I am going to narrow those down to a total of 4 cars.

I usually only pick cars that I can fit in, although this week there is one that I cannot even remotely get into comfortably, but I love the styling and history so much I had to add it to my list.

The G8 GXP was hailed by most as one of the finest products ever to be sold by Pontiac in this country. It was a head-to-head competitor with the BMW M5 and a huge surprise when it hit the market. These G8 GXPs are rare, look great, and have 415 horsepower with a matching 415 FT/LBS of torque.

This example is effectively a brand new G8 that has only covered 1,398 miles from new. These cars are serious modern collectors and one like this is a true collector-grade example.

This year and model Corvette is my absolute favorite and one of my top 5 all-time favorite Corvette cars.

To me, the 1972 Corvette was the pinnacle of the C3 design and, when new, was a match in performance with the best cars Europe had to offer and is still quite fast.

This C3 is finished in the fantastic color of Ontario Orange with a Saddle interior. It also features the three luxury options I want most in a Corvette, including air conditioning, power windows, and a tilt/telescopic steering column.

I have long wanted a series 3 XJ6 and this looks to be a nice example. The wood is not cracked, the paint is in nice condition, the leather looks flawless, and it has only 52,000 miles on the clock.

These cars are wonderful to drive, offer spirited if not quite fast performance and just ooze elegance.

I am sure it has a few needs including replacing the tires with a better brand, but overall, this looks to be a very clean example of a model that is often seen in terrible condition.

This 240Z is one of the nicer examples I have seen for sale anywhere. The Racing Green paint over tan interior combination just makes it that much more interesting and desirable.

The Datsun is the car that changed the world of the affordable sports car forever and these cars are never likely to decrease in value. Sure, you can still get a driver level 240Z with a few issues for around 30k, but opportunities to buy one this nice do not come up very often. Bid now or be sorry you missed this one.
