AutoHunter Spotlight: 1963 Triumph TR3B

Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a highly original two-owner 1963 Triumph TR3B equipped with a color-matched hardtop and newer Dayton wire wheels.

“The TR3 was produced by the Standard-Triumph Motor Company in Coventry, England, first launching production in 1955,” AutoHunter says in the roadster’s listing. “Successive model years brought about changes to the drivetrain and aesthetics, and a TR3B variant debuted beginning in 1962 with a short model run through 1963.”

This final-year example has been repainted in the original Signal Red paint and features black side curtains, a black tonneau cover and Brooklands racing screens.

The interior houses black vinyl bucket seats outlined in white piping with a matching dash and door panels. 

Power comes from a 2,138cc inline-4 connected to a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.

The odometer reads 89,593 miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.
